It has taken me some time to educate myself about art and design. I attended American Intercontinental University majoring in Visual Communications for a year and a half until one of my instructors pushed me to apply to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Thinking that there was no way I would possibly get in, I applied to Art Center in 2005, and, surprisingly, got in. I attended Art Center for the next 3 years, while trying my best to keep up with their standards. Graduating in December of 2008, I sold one of my pieces to an interested buyer for $600, which gave me the motivation to be off on my own. I decided to try to organize my own business with my own unique ideas. Of course, with the help of my family, the grand opening of Modest Fly Art Studio Gallery took place in October of 2009. It was a fun event that showcased all of my new 2009 work. I received great feedback and positive reactions to the opening and plan to show other artists in the near future. The gallery/studio is my personal space where I spend most of my productive hours of the day, but having it open to the public to experience is my way of sharing my life and love with others. For many years, I have tried to improve myself by taking classes with great teachers, and I will continue perfecting my skill and efforts for as long as possible.
